COMMITTEES AND AGENDAS

UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council)
Deliberation on combating violence and discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, and race, including harmful social norms, laws, and policies. Combating violence and discrimination involves addressing harmful social norms, laws, and policies that perpetuate inequality. This requires legal reforms to protect marginalized groups, promote gender and racial equality, and dismantle structural biases. Education and awareness initiatives are crucial to challenge stereotypes and harmful practices. Empowering affected communities and ensuring access to justice are key steps toward creating a more inclusive and equitable society.

UNGA-DISEC (United Nation General Assembly)
Deliberating on advancing the strengthening of nuclear safeguards and verification mechanisms for enhanced global security. Strengthening nuclear safeguards and verification mechanisms is essential for enhanced global security. It involves improving international frameworks to prevent nuclear proliferation, ensuring compliance with treaties like the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and promoting transparency in nuclear activities. Robust verification systems, such as those by the IAEA, are critical for detecting violations, fostering trust among nations, and reducing the risk of nuclear weapons development or misuse.

HPMC (Historic Prime Minister’s Cabinet)
Freeze date-26th June, 1975
Deliberating the contentious circumstances surrounding the Emergency declaration and its detrimental impact on civilians, raising questions of governance and government accountability.
The Emergency, declared under Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, marked a dark period in India's democracy. Civil liberties were suspended, political opponents jailed, and media censored, leading to widespread human rights violations. The authoritarian measures raised serious concerns about governance, accountability, and the abuse of executive power. The Emergency's impact on civilians and democratic institutions remains a subject of intense debate, underscoring the need for safeguards against such actions.
